Memories of Carol Fisher-Hintze
Carol Fisher Hintze 1919 ~ 2009 Carol was born in Meadow, Utah on November 7, 1919 to Albert H. Fisher and Alta Jane Beckstrand Fisher. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on July 31, 2009.She graduated from Granite High in 1936 at the age of 16. She married H. Reed Hintze on June 8, 1940. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was an accomplished seamstress and was employed making drapes for a time. She worked at ZCMI until she retired. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles and travel. Her greatest accomplishment was being a homemaker and raising her family. She lived in the Cottonwood area for over 60 years until she could no longer live in her home and then moved to Welcome Home Assisted Living in Bountiful. She is survived by her children, Robert R. (Carol) of Holladay, Luella (Frank) Davis of Monroe, R. Kent of Holladay, James H. (Bonnie) of Bountiful and daughter-in-law, Beth of Kearns. Two brothers and one sister, Albert LeRoy Fisher (Dot), Jerry Fisher (Halene) and Beulah Marz Lester (Guy). Also 26 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and pme great, great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Reed, her son, John F. Hintze, her parents, two sisters, Wanda Marz and Lela Fisher and a sister-in-law, Peggy Fisher. A special thanks to daughter-in-law Bonnie for the love she has shown for Mom, for visiting her nearly every day and seeing that all her needs were met, for the loving care given to her at Welcome Home Assisted Living, Lakeview Hospital and VistaCare Hospice. Funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Cottonwood 16th Ward chapel, 6350 S. Rodeo Lane (1500 East), with a viewing at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive, Tuesday, Aug. 4 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment Holladay Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humanitarian Fund of the LDS Church.
