Jean Lambert Beckstrand 1925 ~ 2009 BOUNTIFUL, Utah - Jean Lambert Beckstrand, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother passed away into her Heavenly Father's arms on Tuesday, September 1, 2009.Jean was born October 5, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harold Alma Lambert and Florence Murphy. Jean was the second of three children and had fond memories of growing up in the Sugar House area. She enjoyed swimming, dancing and tennis. She graduated from Granite High School. Jean met her eternal companion Joseph Milton Beckstrand on a blind date. They were married on August 4, 1949 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with six children and Jean was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fulfilling many callings in the ward and stake. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Some of her fondest memories were found in her service as a Visiting Teacher in the Relief Society. She spent her life in service to her family and others leaving her family with a legacy of service and kindness. She loved camping in the mountains with her husband and children. What a blessing it was that she was able to go to the mountains with her husband the last week of her life. She loved family reunions, spending time with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. Jean is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Beckstrand with whom she just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; and her six children who will greatly miss her, Sandra Beckstrand, Janice Hough (Bryan), Craig Beckstrand (Tylene), Neil Beckstrand (Laurie), Ronald Beckstrand (Lori), and Mark Beckstrand (Karin); 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
