Duane Turnbow In Loving Memory Duane Robert Turnbow passed away with his family at his side on August 29, 2010 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.He was born on June 22, 1921 to Joseph C. and Sarah Lenore Woodruff Turnbow in Salt Lake City. He attended Granite High School. He proudly served as a pilot in the US Army/Navy during World War II. He attended BYU, where he met and married Carol Wheelwright; they were later divorced. They had three children, Jeffrey, David and Barbara. David passed away in 1997 and they are now together. Duane was a carpenter by trade and a successful banker with family living in Arcadia, CA. He retired and returned to Utah and lived a very full life. His love for family and friends was unconditional, his wisdom and contagious sense of humor endeared him to all those blessed to have known him. Duane is survived by two children; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his former wife; and his long time friend, Pat. Funeral services will be Friday, September 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood 5th LDS Ward located at 5913 S. Highland Drive. Viewings will be Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, Utah and at the church on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment and graveside services will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the family at http://www.*****/****
