Memories of Michael "Mike" Reddish
Michael Phillip Reddish 1935 ~ 2010 Born April 30, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Mike passed peacefully on November 30, 2010 at his childhood home in Holladay, UT.Mike graduated from Granite High School and attended the University of Utah. Joining the Army Reserve, Mike was called into active duty twice as a commissioned officer. A lifelong skier at Alta and Deer Valley, Mike was an avid outdoorsman who frequently traveled to Switzerland, passing on his love of skiing and mountain culture to his family. During the summer months, Mike relaxed by working tirelessly in his garden at home in Holladay. Mike worked his life with Human Resources for the O.C. Tanner Co. After retirement, he led a team of employees and volunteers for the University of Utah Hospital Information Desk. Mike epitomized customer service being honored as Employee of the Year in 2004 by the University of Utah Hospitals and clinics Board. Mike was approachable, cheerful and diplomatic - everything a goodwill ambassador should be. Mike married Joan Tanner and later Nancy Nelson. Mike is preceded in death by his parents Phyllis and C. Don Reddish, also by his brother Jack Reddish. Mike is survived by his brother Don, his five children Patrick (Gwen), Jonathan, Christopher, CD, Mimi, (Stewart) and two grandchildren Finn and Peyton. Deeply loved by all who knew him, Mike will be sorely missed by his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed toward Huntsman Cancer Institute.
