Memories of Phillip "Phil" Trunnell
Phillip George Trunnell 1922 ~ 2011 Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Born on October 27, 1922 in Garfield, Utah. Phillip graduated from Granite High School and attended the U. of U. Served as a pilot in the Navy Air Corps during World War II. Phillip started his building career as a mason contractor, later a general contractor, building many homes on the Salt Lake community.Phillip is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Florence, his son Eric, daughter, Karen (Bruce) and granddaughter, Kathryn Blair. Preceded in death by his daughter, Lynda. A viewing will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday evening, January 20, 2011, at East Mill Creek 2nd Ward, 3750 S. Hillside Lane, SLC UT. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the East Mill Creek 2nd Ward Chapel with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holladay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please thank a vet and donate to a charity of your choice.
