Wayne Sears Hintze "A Noble Man" Wayne Sears Hintze, 96, passed away on January 25, 2011 of causes incident to age.He was born September 12, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Herriman Hintze and Ethel Irene Sears. He married Dorothy Adeline Rupp on October 10, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past October. Most of his 'growing years' were spent on a farm in Elberta, Utah with his eight brothers and two sisters. He graduated from Granite High School in 1932. He went on to attend LDS Business College and the University of Utah, where he acquired skills that allowed him to obtain employment. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in San Francisco, California. He retired from Zions First National Bank in 1980 after 32 years of service. He is a past President of the Utah Mortgage Bankers Association, the Salt Lake Society of Real Estate Appraisers, the Lions Club of Salt Lake City and is a life member in the International Association of Lions Clubs. He is a member of the LDS Church and has served faithfully in various callings throughout his life. He served, with his wife, as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a man of integrity, honor and a disciple of Jesus Christ who has now completed his mission on earth. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Harold, Eugene, Jane, Henry, Alan, Keith, Lyle, Wendell and Janice, and is survived by his brother Ray. He is also survived by his wife Dorothy, and children; Kathleen, Larry (Cindy), Brent (Kelli), 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Emigration 4th Ward, 589 East 18th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday, January 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home, 1001 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah and Saturday, prior to services, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Salt Lake Mausoleum. Condolences may be sent to the family @ http://www.*****/****
