Thelma A. Rynearson 1920 ~ 2011 Our amazing, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on March 31, 1920 in Driggs, Idaho to Francis Mark Austin, Jr. and Beatrice Eliza Going. She graduated from Granite High School and married her high school sweetheart, Harvey David Rynearson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1940. They were married 46 years. She lived a full and active life dedicated to family, temple work, humanitarian projects and service to others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; son, Richard; brother, Mark; and granddaughter, Melinda. She is survived by her sisters, Fran Stevenson, Lila Juhlin and Bernice Dillingham (Leslie); daughter, Carolyn Reagan (Richard); son, Randy (Melanie); 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest 6th Ward Chapel at 1200 E. 8600 S. in Sandy. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary at 4760 S State Street and from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the services at the church. If desired, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Thelma's name to the Church Missionary Fund or Church Humanitarian Fund, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 50 E. North Temple, SLC, Utah 84150 or through your local ward.
